I woke this morning with two thoughts going through my head.  For starters, I had the best night’s sleep in quite a while.  I’m back on prednisone for a mild flare of my gut and I think we are finally getting a handle on it….Thank goodness, huh?  I have a total love/hate relationship with prednisone.  It is great for how it calms down my gut; the hate side is the insomnia that can accompany it.  Last night, though, was a sweet night and much needed sleep.

Upon waking up, my first thought was, “Do a video blog!”  That thought was quickly followed by, “Yeah, right.  Roll out of bed and do a video?  I don’t think so!”  The more I thought about it, though, the more I thought it may be a fun idea.  A woman in one of my networking groups does a 10 minute Facebook Live every day (M-F) and I thought, “Hey!  I could do “10 at 10”!  The key, though, is to be prepared and have a topic to discuss.  Ten minutes doesn’t sound like a lot of time—yet unprepared, it can feel like ten hours!

Second thought was to write a blog on cats.  I mean, who doesn’t love cats?  Oh wait, plenty of people don’t.  HAHAHAHAHA!!

I slept so well and woke up just a little before 6AM to a little paw waking me up.  It was my dear Kosmo.  “HI mom!  Just wanted you to know I’m here and now I want to go back to sleep.”  Really?  Oh, how I love that little one.  As I’m lying on my side, he snuggles up next me for some purring and cuddling time.  Of course, on his conditions.  I start to pet him and by the third stroke over his lean body, he pushes my hands away and he’s done.  Oh well, it was nice while it lasted!  In the meantime, his BIG brother (weighing in around 15 pounds) decides to snuggle up on my back and purrs.  Ahhhhh, nothing like being the middle of a kitty sandwich!  I was able to stay in this position for a little over an hour just enjoying the purring and snuggles of my two big boys.

Perhaps I will combine the two—a 10 minute video at 10:00 discussing the joys of prednisone combined with my love of cats.  OK, maybe not.  This is why I have to be prepared for those videos…..
